Der Rastlosen Heimat (2010)

Dir. Sebastian Matthias Weißbach

When your time on earth is up, it is David (Christoph Bornmüller), or someone like him, who comes to usher your soul to the other side. Caught in limbo and invisible to living humans, David and his fellow soul collectors do death's dirty work. The trouble starts when David falls in love with a mortal.

The score to Der Rastlosen Heimat makes use of electronic/trip-hop/rock elements and derives much of its material from variations on and transformations of the movie's theme song The Dark of your Heart (see Audio section) featuring the stunning voice of Fenia Franz.
